Meet Teri

Teri Stein is a lifelong writer who took a twenty-year detour into being a lawyer. As an activist and a legal advocate, much of her work has focused on survivors of gender-based violence, the rights of immigrants, and access to justice, all of which inform her writing. She has been a writer in residence at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, focusing on memoir and essay. Teri and her family live in Los Angeles in a home with two rescue dogs and not enough bookshelves. She is currently at work on a memoir.
